New Themes for the Main Site

Discussion regarding the site itself. This includes the upcoming Version 7. Also comments about the site, suggestions for V7, questions about XT, problems with your life, and errors — ooh I hates those errors!

The Rock and Travis Scott have an entrance together in the very same way and they are listed! :)

I do expect Jelly & Randy to have a few TV entrances before SummerSlam itself.

Personally, I think it's time to reconsider the whole teams rules. If we count "entrances" at fan conventions and for inanimate objects, I think we're past the point of having to worry about the site being cluttered.

Fair enough, Step Up. I just assumed whoever made them listings (as they're already there) would have completed the full set of dates, that's why I only went for the months without.

Cheers for adding the other promotions too!

No probs.

Looking back at Missing Impact ones - there are missing entries far back as January 2024  (just after the name change back to TNA)
Usually for all we go as ep-to ep also Eddie used record TNA's stuff & then if we found the "Unknown" (or) ID's find the tracks ((Usually Production/Themes etc.) - we edit as appropriate as we go.
Saying that I was at one point going through the NXT Vault with eps - Adding all the Promos & Intros (which have been heavily ignored - despite Themes usages have been linked etc.) - Started - then lost a list (I Had) as going along so have to go back through all the (so far stuff - And also inc. some entrances might have earlier dates/or v. few missing) is going to be an annoying trek backwards (which is not the only thing I have to do that for)

On occasion we forget to add stuff overtime (Hell recently found I missed out some AEW Themes from some counts - looks to the Infantry after Collision just gone = It Happens!!)
I think we might be also missing an Intro Cut for Stephanie Vaquer (not sure the earliest date when) or if Steve Maclin had an Intro Cut for his Current TNA one at some point (Starting after Gun bit - I Swore I've heard once some point)

I think acknowledging the use of music without it being known is fine. The whole point of the site after all is to catalogue all of the music used within the wrestling "universe". There would be a ton of unlisted songs/themes if we only ever listed what we knew for sure. If anything I think that further adds to my point: there is already so much listed on the site that avoiding a relatively small amount of extra listings for a very specific set of rules is pointless in my opinion.

The 3-Tag Entrance is why no Becky/Lyra count (if that rules still in effect)
Should the Slammys Entrance also be linked to ..the Slammys Theme (would make sense)
Also in regards to Hustle (UK) - I have my reasons why they ain't being added (Also at current point - not on the priority of UK Companies Counts (probs the last resort near the bottom) - (which also have sort of a count for their first 2 Ever Shows (which backlogged when they sort of had an OD (well... was Progress' old OD I think back then)

Also not sure why we're linking the play button for .....EVERYTHING (even intro cuts - which just overloads if links go down/removed - No need for the FULL Versions as proof on Intro Cuts & Edits) & adding to EVERY ...Single link (not sure for the reasoning ??)

I know I'm the main suspect in this, so allow me to address it.

Regarding adding a play button to everything: it comes down to ease-of-use for the end user - being able to listen to as many of the themes as possible, and being able to hear a theme right from that count instead of having to make extra clicks to get to the original count. People being able to hear *all* of the themes on the site listed in the best possible form should be the goal, wherever they are on the site.

Regarding edits: I do try and find videos of the actual edits used where possible, but if they aren't available, I still think it's better to have *something* available over nothing. We even have (had?) at least one instance of a remake used for a theme's play button (Foley's "Wreck (V1)") because, to quote Papa Faf, "...if we don't have an official source, we just go with whatever's available to hear the theme." Is it perfect? No, it's not, but again, I think we need to make sure as many themes on the site as possible are available to listen to in the best available form.

And yes, it does make a bit more work to fix all the listings if a video goes down, but isn't that what we signed up to do as theme techs? Continually update and fix the site to make it better for everyone else?

As far as I understand it, Chris said as we're listing everything on the website anyway (such as a dedicated entry for The Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy and The Dumpster), it doesn't matter if this rule is 'broken' at this point... and as they were tag champions, I'd say its worthy of a listing.
TheStepUp666 wrote: August 5th, 2025, 3:54 pm Should the Slammys Entrance also be linked to ..the Slammys Theme (would make sense)
Yes it should - good idea. I'm not sure why I didn't put the borrowed sticker or tag next to them way back when, but I'm not a Tech anyway and just submitting them as notes.
TheStepUp666 wrote: August 5th, 2025, 3:54 pm Also in regards to Hustle (UK) - I have my reasons why they ain't being added (Also at current point - not on the priority of UK Companies Counts (probs the last resort near the bottom) - (which also have sort of a count for their first 2 Ever Shows (which backlogged when they sort of had an OD (well... was Progress' old OD I think back then)
I didn't know there was such a list of what was a priority listing and what wasn't to be fair. I just assumed whatever data we have on entries, we add accordingly, as this is an ever-growing database and one to track individual listings. I'm not too sure what you mean by OD either (please can you explain the abbreviation?)

It is uniform for the listings at this point, and I feel it does help to ensure that the user is playing the right theme that is listed.

Cheers for the clarity & clearing up (kinda makes a whole lot of sense where you are coming from - hell not even angry one bit  )

The Edits = If there is footage for the Vid Proof - I usually just put that as minimum (as best damn it!!) - Leave the Play vacant (In a past time - was able to copy the Themes cross the server from Theme to Theme - & the rest is history as they say - those were the days before becoming the XT we know now!!)

Totally understandable on the constant updating (even if it puts other things on the backburner - And there is a TON I'm behind on doing listings wise (Companies & Promos/Opening Vids wise (looks to NXT Vault nudge wink wink!! - V. easy to fall behind (As mentioned somewhere on the forum - Started going through..does a list - Fail to Save....back to the start!!! - & similar for few other things (e.g. ICW's back catologue & NGW's stuff on YT (which started on yesterday & LOST doing)- though for both massive gaps are going to be there) ...whilst also more & more stuff have yet to add/or even think of (which also inc. Entrance Vid lists for some companies (e.g. Progress & Defiant (WCPW) being 2 for a start!!)

Wimpy = OD - On-Demand - Progress had the first few on their Old Pivotshare (way back when) - Priority wise - There is a ton of stuff not even been got round too (lot of stuff even touched on this site) - Eventually will get round at some point
